Solar Oregon

Solar Oregon, the Oregon chapter of the American Solar Energy Society, is a nonprofit organization that provides outreach and education on solar technology and its applications, methods for improving energy efficiency, and ideas for building a carbon-neutral future.

Solar Oregon offers a variety of programs integral to the state’s solar growth. Since 2009, the organization has assisted more than 20 communities with deployment of Solarize campaigns, leading to the installation of more than 3.5 megawatts of clean energy. Solar Oregon delivers solar education across the state, including the annual Solar Now! University, an educational program that provides attendees the technical education and background needed to advance solar in their communities.

Through the Pacific Northwest Solar Partnership, Solar Oregon continues to spearhead solar research and education to advance solar adoption across Oregon. Solar Oregon contributes to Northwest Solar Communities work groups to advance best practices in permitting and financing, and sits on the steering committee.
